More than 65 Beaches of Skiathos, the biggest gift that nature gave to the island.

~ Koukounaries The renowned beach of Skiathos, It is also referred to as “Chrysi Ammos” (Golden Sand) its particularly fine sand that appears to be golden in the sun.

Deep blue, crystal clear waters and an exotic landscape to which the pine forest that reaches the sea. The Strofilia lake Directly behind Koukounaries beach, there is a rare wetland for migratory birds, while swans frequently appear. The lake is surrounded by a forest with high pine trees, and it is an ideal place for a walk in a magnificent landscape, in which you will enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature..

~ Lalaria It is located at the northeastern edge of the island, and it is one of the most beautiful beaches. The famous "Trypia Petra" stands as a guard at the edge of the beach. The landscape's wild beauty and the really crystal clear sea will really charm you. You can reach "Lalaria" only through the sea - by boat from the port of Skiathos, daily-, and when the weather allows it. This is a unique experience that you shouldn't miss. The area is secluded, so it is good to have with you everything that you might need.

~ Banana it also called “Krassa”,  you have to walk a while from the bus station.

Agistros beach is right next to Elias beach on the north coast of Skiathos.

~ Megalos Aselinos It is a big beach with sand, pebbles and crystal waters

~ Mikros Aselinos it is worth visiting because is beautiful, secluded beach

~ Ligaries is a secluded beach with wonderful turquoise waters

~ Kechria exotic beauty. One of the most beautiful sunsets.

~ Beach of Kastro It is located exactly underneath the Castle, at the medieval city of Skiathos,which you can reach by car up to the point and then you have to walk.

~ Nikotsara It is also called “Lechouni” According to tradition, this is where the hero of the Revolution of ’21, Nicotsaras, was buried.

~ Arkos Island a small heavenly, uninhabited island, with beautiful beaches and crystal clear, turquoise waters.

~ Tsougkria Island is a must in the preferences of visitors, and it is an uninhabited, virgin island with exotic beauty. It has two big beaches: Lalarias and Agios Floros, it was named after the homonymous chapel that lies on a rock at this on side.

Tips:

Northen side is particularly good for snorkelling, maybe because it doesn’t have as many people disturbing the sand or just the northern area may be better than the south, either way, if you enjoy snorkelling this is a good option.

Once there you’ll be treated to the usual golden sand and crystal clear waters that are typical of Skiathos, you wont get the crowds that you get on the more popular beaches though so if you want a bit of peace and quiet then this could be a good option for you. Just remember that the northern beaches are more affected by the wind so the sea can be a bit difficult.

Walk in Mandraki forest it’s a 45 minute walk along a shaded track from bus stop 23 to get to the beach so unless you enjoy a stroll.
